Scott was born in Wellington in 1966 and presently lives in Northland. He completed a Diploma of Fine Arts ( Honours ) at Otago School of Art in 1993. He has exhibited regularly in New Zealand in private and public galleries and has works in numerous private and public collections. He has been exhibiting since 1982 in group and solo shows, has had several awards , residencies ( Rita Angus Cottage, Eastern Institute of Technology ) & his work is in the James Wallace Arts Trust, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as in Otago School of Art, Otago Polytechnic & Whangarei Pulic Art Gallery.
McFarlane’s new series of landscape oil paintings, are based between Lake Omapere and Whangaroa harbour, Northland, are currently on view in the showcase showroom at Kaan Zamaan.
